Fox Sports Kansas City stylized as FS KANSAS CITY is a regional sports network serving the Kansas City region and surrounding areas in parts of Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, and Iowa. Originally a subfeed of Fox Sports Midwest (DirecTV still treats it as such due to lack of bandwidth), the network became Fox Sports Kansas City in 2008 as a result of a new long-term exclusive broadcast agreement with Major League Baseball's Kansas City Royals. Fox Sports Kansas City was created to avoid conflicts with St. Louis Cardinals coverage, which remains on St. Louis-based Fox Sports Midwest. Fox Sports Kansas City also produces the Royals Live pre-game and post-game shows and Royals Insider. During the college football season Fox Sports Kansas City airs The Kansas Football and Kansas State Games games at different times to make sure there are no broadcast conflicts with them. Missouri football is available only from an alternate station from Fox Sports Kansas City. Fox Sports Kansas City is available in 720p high definition, and airs national FSN games and events in HD.

For Royals games, Ryan Lefebvre does play-by-play. Frank White joins him with color commentary. Joel Goldberg hosts Royals Live.
